| Local 127 We Make San Diego Happen |
On May 22, 2012, members of our Local 127 took the first of many steps needed to increase member involvement, build commoradity as well as solidarity!! Employees within the Park and Rec, Fleet mechanics, Sanitation, and other departments throughout the city, participated in a 2hr classroom training to discuss the importance of member involvement and activisim within Local 127 in preparation for the June 5th primaries. Members of Local 127 are coming together to improve the communication structure within their Local by creating a Communication Network. The goal is to have a worksite contact at each work location, from fleet to parks and recs, and all sites in between, that will help facilitate the flow of information between the Local leadership and the general membership.
